Inspiration Station: Animated Masterpieces

This video, by Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, took my breath away…

<p><a href=”http://vimeo.com/83910533″>B E A U T Y – dir. Rino Stefano Tagliafierro</a> from <a href=”http://vimeo.com/rinostefanotagliafierro”>Rino Stefano Tagliafierro</a> on <a href=”https://vimeo.com”>Vimeo</a&gt;.</p>

…who hasn’t wanted to get lost inside a painting? And I just love how he arranged them in a cradle-to-grave scenario! I could have done without Peter Paul Rubens’ Saturn Devouring his Son (the Goya version, tucked away in one of my mom’s art books, haunted me as a child)…but a gorgeous homage nonetheless.

And on a related note, Getty recently announced the opening of its virtual library, which includes hundreds of art books to enjoy for free – so go get lost inside some paintings!

  1. Some of that was kind of creepy. I especially enjoyed the landscape paintings, getting a tour of the countryside.
