I recently came across this lovely vintage article, with lovely vintage photos (via US Fish & Wildlife), written by Rachel Carson as a precursor to her book, The Sense of Wonder…which I reviewed on my old blog.
I should really pick up a copy of The Sense of Wonder for my own library…A boy can sit forever in the silent woods, finding the world mirrored in a still pool…
I just can’t wait for James to truly experience, and explore, the natural world with me!
