Green Thumb: Garden Update – Raised Beds a Success!

Last year, our garden did not do well, so Butch planned and schemed (and sketched) during the winter to start fresh this season by building raised beds within the existing garden walls (aka Fort Knox):

Thanks to the addition of a heating mat to the seed-starting setup, a fresh load of topsoil and the hot heat and soaking rain we’ve been having lately, the garden is flourishing:

 

I can’t wait to eat some homegrown veggies again!
